OBINAGU VILLAGE, NIGERIA – Imagine living where you were constantly on the hunt for water, struggling to survive. Without water, one can neither cook, nor bathe, nor even drink to stay alive. Water is the most vital resource known to man, animals, and plants alike.
A man named Mr. Gozie saw the need for water in his community. Life in Abakpa Nike Enugu, Nigeria, especially during the dry season, is like a perilous hell because every corner of the month of October comes the rain of dryness. During this time, many of the wells will dry up, leaving the town without a reliable supply of water.
Within the village, other landlords will provide water, but charge by the gallon, which can prove costly to residents. Mr. Gozie is the only one to provide water to his neighbors free of charge.
Mr. Gozie’s house will be filled with people in need of water. From the house he built himself, he generously gives his tap water freely to those who need it, and the people of the Obinagu Village in Enugu and those beyond the town searching for water.

Even when the people whom he is helping spoil the hoses of the water pipes, he simply repairs them and warns them to never do it again. Mr Gozie comes out during 3AM in the morning to turn on the water taps and when he notices that there are so many in need, he brings out his family pipe and gives it to them to fill their cans.
During my investigation, Mr. Gozie is not a citizen of Obinagu Village, but a man whom the Lord God blessed. He vows to help others to repay God, and even though he's not famous to the world, he is famous to the people of Obinagu Village and beyond. Here he is known as the "Man of Water Beyond.”
