There are people in our society who are always willing to help those in need. These people help others in our community for the sake of inner peace or humanity. One such person is my father’s friend Mr. Mohammad Irshad Chahudry.
Mr. Mohammad Irshad is an advocate of high court. He has helped many of his clients, who were not in good financial condition, by taking their suits without taking his professional fee and other miscellaneous expenses.

Recently, he is conducting a criminal case of a widow, Amna Murtaza, as she was being harassed by her brother-in-law. The trial of this case is in progress in session court of Lahore. Another case which on my query he told me that he is handling is of another widow, Surraya Bano (she died and her daughters, Rehana Ilyas etc. are pursuing the case further), who was deprived of her inheritance rights by her brother. Likewise, he is conducting 3 more cases free of cost.
My father has told me that, on work place he is known for being very kind hearted. He pays to his clerk and office boy much more than their fixed salary. Furthermore, as per my father, he is having a good reputation in his friends and family because of his generous deeds and good personality.
While we were building our home back in 2019 and had had financial issues. He reached out to help us in our finances unconditionally and never demanded anything in return.

Although, we are not his own kids and nor is he a family member of ours. He still, takes care of us. On days when someone in us isn’t feeling good or has an ailment, he would ask how we are and advice us to take care of ourselves in future.
He has a big heart. When he finds someone who is really in need, he would do his best to support that person, by whatever means he could find to do so. One such example is that he has shared a portion of his house to a friend, who was not having his own house at that time, for a whole year without charging him any rent. He never asked his tenant to vacate the house until his friend (tenant) left the house as he built his own one.
Another good trait of Mr. Mohammad Irshad Chahudry is that he often offers a lift to people waiting for public transports, on his way to office in the morning as well as in the evening time while he is on his way back home, as in Al Rehman Garden Phase 2 (housing society), which is nearly 8 Kilo Meters away from Lahore city and there is no public transport available and most of the residents don’t have their own cars or bikes.
I myself visited him at his house recently to ask him some questions related to why he helps other people like this and what he has in mind before doing something for someone else. On this he replied me as: “I believe that what you do for others never gets in vain. It will somehow help you in future by helping others. As a Muslim as well as a human, it’s my responsibility to help one in need. It is a good deed and I am happy that I can do something for humanity.”
There are many more people and organizations in our society just like Mr. Irshad who help our community grow strong and make everyone feel equal as humans.
